Federal Quota Registration of Blind Students
In December 2018, all Ohio school districts received a secure email from the Assistive Technology & Accessible Educational Materials Center (AT&AEM Center) at OCALI containing the 2019 Federal Quota Registration of Blind Students packet. The Ohio Department of Education’s Office for Exceptional Children asks districts to register every legally blind student attending a district school, including all eligible preschool, homebound, home-schooled and adult students.
The submission deadline to return registration packets has been extended to Friday, March 1. All forms should be returned to the AT&AEM Center. For questions, please contact Kelly Houston or Judy Siens at the AT&AEM Center.
