Target Audience: Preschool Teams who have attended the Preschool Autism Series days 1-3:
Must have an administrator or identified lead and an intervention specialist that will be implementing the plan and other roles could consist of: general education teacher, speech, occupational therapust, physical therapist, psychologist, behavior specialist)
Comprehensive Program Planning (3-Day Team Training)
At the conclusion of the three-day content training, selected preschool teams (who are required to attend the first 3 days) will participate in an additional three-day training on Comprehensive Program Planning, which involves a process-planning framework for designing comprehensive positive behavioral interventions. The framework provides participants with the tools to assess a student’s specific needs by examining the student’s underlying characteristics, strengths and special interests as well as environmental factors in order to design individualized interventions that are evidence-based and systematically implemented throughout the day. The process encourages families and professionals to work collaboratively to develop positive behavioral supports to meet the needs of students across all settings.
