Research indicates 95% percent of all students can learn to read proficiently when taught with explicit instruction using evidence based practices. During this series, the five components of language and literacy (phonological and phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension) will be examined through the lens of instructing our diverse learners. Participants will identify and implement strategies to meet their diverse students needs in each session.  This professional development series is designed for educators and administrators working with diverse learners, especially students with Autism, Low Incidence, Hearing and/or Visually Impaired and Multiple Disabilities, to build a strong foundation of language and literacy based on the Science of Reading.
