Audience: Districts Participating in 2019-2020 OLTS Exit or Follow-up Surveys for Indicator 14

This training is only for schools who need to complete the 2019-2020 Ohio Longitudinal Transition Survey Exits or Follow-ups. Each local education agency (LEA) is required to collect outcome data for students with disabilities as they exit high school. Federal law requires that outcome data are collected annually by districts with more than 50,000 students and once every six years by districts with less than 50,000 students. Data gathered and reported to the United States Department of Education, Office for Special Education Programs by the Ohio Department of Education include the percent of students with disabilities no longer in secondary school who have been competitively employed and/or enrolled in a post-secondary school within one year of leaving high school (20 U.S.C. 1416(a)(3)(B)). The training will be provided by Kent State University’s Center for Innovation in Transition and Employment.
