Description:

Calling All Special Education Administrators and/or Coordinators!

Are you an OAPSA member? Should you be?

Being a member of OAPSA (Ohio Association of Pupil Services Administrators) provides you with the most up-to-date information available within the Special Education field. OAPSA is known for keeping its members informed and connected through thier wonderful email system which allows members to reach out to others throughout the state regarding best practices and networking opportunities. OAPSA provides 4 full days of excellent professional conferences throughout the school year with Ashland graduate credit hours available. They also have an OAPSA Book Club where members can earn contact hours for professional development. This year OAPSA will be offering a series of one-hour Hot Topics virtually!  More information will be coming out on the Hot Topics soon! OAPSA is also the CASE Chapter for Ohio so they are able to provide you with the national information you need to know.

The first OAPSA conference will be held September 17 at the Quest Conference Center's new location with additional safety practices in place. The conference will be in person or virtual - the choice is yours!  This conference is open to members and non-members but members attend at a discounted rate. Their wonderful lineup of speakers for the first conference includes a team from Upper Arlington City Schools speaking about what they learned navigating the road to support students with Dyslexia. They also have a legal update titled "What's New and What You Need to Know Now",  plus an update from ODE's Office of Exceptional Children including a special update on revisions to Ohio's Rule for PBIS and Restraint and Seclusion.
