State Support Teams were created by the Ohio Department of Education as a result of H.B. 115. Sixteen (16) regions were established with a State Support Team (SST) in each region. Each SST has a fiscal agent who signs a yearly Grant Agreement with the Ohio Department of Education. The fiscal agent for SST Region 6 is the Auglaize County Educational Service Center.
SSTs receive funding from three specific offices at the Ohio Department of Education. The Office for Exceptional Children, The Office for Improvement and Innovation, and the Office of Early Learning and School Readiness.
Each year SSTs and their fiscal agents receive a Grant Agreement that defines the work that must be delivered to the region by the SST.
